WHO WE ARE
Ophelia’s Eye craft a powerful fusion of modern technical metal and emotional intensity.
Our sound blends razor-sharp riffing, relentless rhythms, and a vocal range shifting between raw aggression and haunting clarity — equally heavy and cinematic.
Lyrically and conceptually, we explore psychological tension, societal fractures, and the search for purpose in a chaotic world. It’s a dark, cathartic journey that connects through honesty and impact.
After building a strong foundation in the Swiss scene, we have entered a new phase of evolution: More ambitious, more refined, and more forward-driven. Our upcoming releases push deeper into their identity: heavier, more diverse, and fiercely expressive.
With the upcoming EP "Severance" arriving on December 12th 2025 and another EP already in early development, we are moving with unstoppable momentum. Ready to expand across Europe with a clear artistic vision.

Eye See You-Festival 2025, Werkk Baden, 08.11.2025
"The band performed with a palpable connection to the audience... Ophelia's Eye delivered a show with a clear calling card: precise riffs, the interplay between harsh vocals and clear vocal lines, and an atmosphere that calmed the room while intensifying it at the same time."

Eye See You-Festival 2024, Werkk Baden, 30.11.2024
"It's only their second appearance in their new line-up, and I can say with a clear conscience that the band has made incredible progress since the album launch. Above all, frontman Jan Brasser shows none of the nervousness that was still evident in October. But in general, the band seems very well-rehearsed and experienced today. Hats off!"

Ophelia's Eye presents, Garage8 Olten, 20.09.2025
"All the musicians performed at a high technical level and played flawlessly... Again and again, clouds of fog shot out of the equipment and the lighting effects matched the atmosphere of the songs. During the last song, ‘Enter The Arena,’ the audience got into it again and formed a wall of death."

Album release show, Met-Bar Lenzburg, 25.10.2024
"The refreshed metalcore sound delivered by the band has moved away somewhat from the previous melodic death metal and hardcore influences. It features clean vocals without sounding too cheesy and is generally more melodic than before. However, the style is far from sounding too soft or even boring. On the contrary, the band manages to ensure one very important point: both the instruments themselves and the individual songs harmonise perfectly!"
Release Reviews (Severance)
Review by Real Gone
"The title track from the band’s forthcoming EP wastes no time in confronting the listener with a brilliantly heavy edge. The opening blast trades in the expected metalcore for a more abrasive, almost industrial sound that’s driven by a pneumatic rhythm... ensures that Ophelia’s Eye still sound like a band who could go head to head with the fiercest competition when it comes to a great riff."
Review by The FUD
"Enter The Arena is the first track, and it has such a strong guttural opening and heavy instrumental that sets you up for the rest of your listening experience. Toward the end there is some fabulous guitar work and furious drums building into a heavy and screamy close. This is a crowd pleaser for sure... Next is title track severance this is in my personal favourite lyrically. A real masterpiece of emotion both within the lyrics and vocal. You can hear the classic metal influences within the instrumental but given that modern twist..."
Review by Metal Noise
"Screaming resilience in the face of anguish this one hits hard giving pause for thought long after the ears have stopped ringing because it resonates... Another independent band who prove they can rival the major players with ease, this record should see the band step onto bigger stages if there is any justice in the world [8/10]."
Release Reviews (Catharsis)
Review by Alte Magazine
"Catharsis sets itself apart because it goes beyond an aggressive outlet for frustration. The band’s also created a sound that people can rally behind as they seek purpose after they’ve gone through the pains of maturing. It’s the magnanimity of a higher order granting clemency, but also asking you for something in return. It’s inspirational... This is the kind of album that really makes you look internally and at the world."
Review by Chunedesk
"The current album of the Ophelia’s Eye titled “Catharsis” is the outstanding representation of the human feelings that touches both individual and social problems. Every track is meaningful with powerful lyrics coupled with even more powerful music arrangements. Its poetic motifs varies from personal crisis to the topics of the world’s need for the change and therefore charges the audience with extra positive emotions."
Review by Mesmerized
"Ophelia’s Eye are certainly not wasting their time: having refreshed their band lineup barely a year ago, the Switzerland-based metal outfit entered the studio back in July, furiously recording a bunch of incredible singles... Ophelia’s Eye manage to deliver one of the most substantial metal records we have heard lately, a telltale sign of a potential glorious future."
Review by Havoc Underground
"Whether it's the big hooks, the earth-shattering breakdowns, or the spot-on production work, Ophelia's Eye came out swinging with Catharsis. We're not sure what they have planned next, but we're excited to find out! It's always refreshing to come across a new melodic ride that feels nostalgic while at the same time fresh."
Review by ExtraVaFrench
"With Catharsis, Ophelia's Eye offers more than just an album. They extend a hand to those who are faltering, a guide through the maze of uncertainty, a cry to remind us that at the end of the night, there is always a glimmer of light to hold on to. Powerful. Real. Unforgettable."
